Our Notes

  • Most important changes that we monitor: the removal of the headphone jack, the smart connector and the wireless charging.
  • WSJ: This year’s iPhone won’t feature big changes.

Every morning I usually  take my shower, making coffee while Listening to  music from my iphone 6 plusApple music” which I depend on always to relax my head to take some tech breaking news and starting my work. But in this day I didn’t  believe my eyes when I saw the iPhone 7 rumours about the removal of the headphone jack in the iPhone 7 or making room for additional parts such as a larger battery by eliminating the headphone jack and instead adopting an all-in-one Lightning port that will support both charging and music playback with Lightning-equipped headphones, which means abandoning my great headphone that makes me focusing all the time to do my work.

I knew that the removal of the headphone jack is not the only thing that Apple will change in iphone 7, so I continued to know the important points that will be change which mean that Apple is trying to appeal something I can’t understand. I write this article to define what Apple wants to say by these changes …

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus won’t get Smart Connectors.

Our first step will begin from a Japanese site rumor Mac Otakara, however, Apple has decided to eliminate the Smart Connector from its iPhone plans, and molds said to that the  iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus won’t get Smart Connectors.

The Smart Connector on the back of the device is a feature introduced in the iPad Pro, used to connect to accessories like the Smart Keyboard. It is not known how Apple would utilize a Smart Connector in an iPhone, but it could perhaps be used for wireless charging or battery cases.

 iPhone 7 Wireless charging…

As long as the removal of the headphone jack, you can not be able to charge the iPhone 7 while headphones are plugged in, while the lightning port being used for music playback.

According to MacRumors, Apple is exploring wireless charging technology that could potentially be included in the iPhone 7.

So to track the changes by a different way, I started to catch the reports that shows the opinions to know how the changes can be really different.

Apple is planning a massive overhaul for 2017’s 10th anniversary of the iPhone

My journey to discover these new features that will arrive soon seems like a big adventure that I supposed to join  but when it will come true I think that it will be disappointing as WSJ reports told.

Apple is planning a massive overhaul for 2017’s 10th anniversary of the iPhone, according to WSJ. Those updates  said that it will include an edge-to-edge OLED display while making a capacitive flush home button entirely. Sources say that the Touch ID security features would be part of the display itself. Of course, that release is so soon, so things could change significantly between now and then.

What’s the reason for not having a major update this year? Apple’s coming off its first quarter of sales decline in the iPhone’s history, but WSJ reports that the reason for these subtle changes is due to tech that’s currently in the works taking more time to finish. While the iPhone 5S featured the addition of Touch ID, last year’s 6S and 6S Plus focused largely on internals with 3D Touch and improved cameras. Both kept the same overall design as the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 the year before. Getting rid of  the headphone jack wouldn’t be a small change, especially if you’ve already invested in a set of wired headphones.
