iOS 10 Battery Dying Bug, And community work around

The 30% bug

Reported by  multiple users in the Apple community forum the newest iOS has a deadly bug where it’s battery charging seems to go from 30% percent to 0% and shut down, the community forum right now has 50 long pages forum detailing the bug.

Its jump from 30% to 0% and dies

Here is the funny part, when you connect the phone to charger after it dies it shows that it have 30% power and starts charging from that point, if you remove the charger it will work normally from the 30% point for couple of hours till it actually runs out of power

Also a user reported in the forum :

– “Shutting the phone down at night with a good 80% charge, it won’t reboot in the morning due to no battery charge. I plug it in and its back to 30% in a few seconds.”

While the exact percentage where the battery suddenly drops out varies, it is typically around the 30% mark. Interestingly several users also report they have experienced this since iOS 10.1 but iOS 10.1.1 did nothing to fix it and neither does the latest beta of iOS 10.2, which suggests that the bug is not currently on Apple’s radar.
